Charity Golf Day 2024 Success!

Our 7th Annual Golf Day supporting one of our chosen charities, O2e, saw 22 teams battled it out on the manicured links of North Hants Golf Club in Fleet.

A course that hosted Open Qualifiers just last week offered a tough test for our visitors with rapid greens and punishing rough. The course was spectacular nonetheless and so was some of the golf.

Event winners, Vicki Clements and her team from Stewarts & Co.

We staged competitions on 7 holes which allowed players to show off immense skill.

A notable birdie on the long par 3 1st gave Carl Robinson of Sidekick a scare as he thought it was actually going in for an ace. An expensive round at the bar would have followed…

Maarten van Reinsberg caught one right out the middle of the driver, launching it over 330 yards down the 18th to claim Longest Drive.

Nearest the pin in two is arguable the most skilful test to win as you need two consecutive good shots. Kudos to Scott Reeves and Robert Allan for good drives and even better pitches into the 4th and 13th respectively.

Thanks to Dall Cleaning for sponsoring these prizes!

Prizes

We were overwhelmed with the generosity in the form of raffle and auction items. The raffle and auction are the main elements of fundraising for the event so it's key to have good items to give away and sell.

Special thanks to Pete Vohmann who gave us two tickets to Arsenal, Jamie Williams from Goodwood for golf and horse racing passes, NHGC Club Captain Jeff Wollen for offering two tickets to any game at Lords, James from Legoland for donating 4 tickets and George Porter for throwing in a Limited Edition Tour Bag from TaylorMade.

Carl of Sidekick happy with his Nearest the Pin win!

The Winners!

The overall win was claimed in emphatic style by Jamie Williams, needing a count back to nick it from Rob Mahoney who claimed 2nd place with 40 points.

Ant Wellington came home with a respectable 39 points to get the third step on the podium.

The team win was enjoyed by our friends from Stewart and Co Accountants, with Vicki Clements, Aisha Shah, Jonathan Bibby and Chris Roach romping back the clubhouse with 100 points!

Well stocked raffle and auction table!

The Fundraising

Without the finalised accounts for the day, we can't put an exact figure on the amount raised but we have a ball park figure that is north of £5,000!

This brings our running total from the Annual Source Golf Day to over £35,000. Let's get to £40,000 total in 2025!

Every penny of this money goes to O2e which is then passed on to their chosen children's charities, in full.

No costs. No overheads. No fees.

Every penny from the pockets of our guests will help improve lives for seriously disabled and terminally ill children.

Thank you!

A heartfelt thanks to everyone who took park. Special mentions to Alex, Steph, Rash, Ruben and George from North Hants Golf Club for truly excellent service.

Gratitude to all our Hole Sponsors and Prize sponsors and thanks to Ben from Signwrite Studios for helping with the costs of signage and being on-hand before and after the event.
